Camp Mission: Camp Big Silver provides a safe, quality outdoor education and recreation program for members aged 7-12. Through the support of the United Way and community minded individuals, campers' fees are kept extremely low so that all children, regardless of their family's income, can enjoy a week at camp. Camp Big Silver is owned and operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo.
The Basics: Camp Big Silver is a co-ed, residential ("sleepaway") camp. All of our program staff live in camp with the campers. Eight camp sessions serve up to 84 campers a week. Campers are divided by age into 12 cabins (6 cabins for boys and 6 cabins for girls) with a Cabin Counselor in charge of each.
Location:Camp Big Silver is located on Silver Lake in Pinckney, Michigan, about 25 miles north of Ann Arbor and 45 miles southeast of Lansing. The Camp is 1 and 1/2 hours by car from downtown Toledo.
