On December 3, the Boys & Girls Club opened the newly renovated areas at the East Club at East Broadway School. The highlight is a brand new gamesroom complete with traditional items like pool, Ping-Pong, and foosball. In addition, there is a technology mini lab, electronic games and a lounge area. The Club is open after school each day from 3:00 to 7:00. During the summer, hours are 10:00 to 3:00.
The Club now has exclusive space of 2,815 square feet and shares school space of 21,338 square feet. The programs include: Arts & Crafts, Educational Activities Center, Cadet Program, Technology Lab, Athletics, Power Hour Homework Help and our new Gamesroom!
This is the third school-based Boys & Girls Club in Toledo. It is part of the Club's strategic plan to collaborate with Toledo Public Schools. This cooperation makes it possible to reach more youngsters each day and to have a greater impact on their development.
The Boys & Girls Club, along with partners like TPS are helping to ensure that Toledo youngsters achieve ACADEMIC SUCCESS, develop GOOD CHARACTER & CITIZENSHIP, and adopt HEALTHY LIFESTYLES.
